Amber Schafer

Amber joined Clinton Investment Management's Credit Research Department as a Director in September 2026. Prior to joining CIM, Amber was most recently with S&P Global Ratings as a Director and Lead Analyst in the Americas Public Finance group. In her role at S&P she led a team of analysts responsible for assigning and reviewing credit ratings on charter schools, private K-12 schools, and community colleges. In her more than 10 years at S&P, she also covered credit ratings on public and private higher education, privatized student housing projects, and non-traditional not for profit entities across the United States.

Prior to joining S&P, Amber worked at Wells Fargo's Private Bank on a team that managed customized short-term taxable and tax-exempt fixed income portfolios, and at Wells Fargo Advisors as a Registered Brokerage Associate.

Amber holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University and a Master's degree in Finance from University of Colorado Denver.
